Trattoria La Madia was born in 1956 and since then has guaranteed its customers the true flavors of Tuscan cuisine.
Nothing is left to the case: the rustic, intimate setting, the choice of lights, the paintings that tell of Florence, the warm colors not only of the furniture, but also of the dishes served, welcome the customer in an atmosphere that smells "of home".
The family management ensures the continuity of the Florentine culinary tradition, for which the La Madia restaurant is renowned.
The Trattoria is managed by Gennaro and Laura, husband and wife that together put their heart and passion into it. Besides the dishes of Tuscan cuisine you can savor Neapolitan flavours, such as fish and naturally leavened pizza.
All the ingredients used to prepare our dishes are selected personally by the chef.
For instance, you can taste excellent spaghetti with lobster, baked turbot, grilled meats, pappardelle with wild boar sauce, pappa al pomodoro, ribollita and of course the Florentine T-bone steak, accompanied by bread and homemade flatbread and excellent Tuscan and regional wines.
Finally you will find desserts, also homemade, such as the famous tiramisu, pies and grandma’s cake.
